Czech fire service to send liaison officers to Greece

Greece has not yet requested any additional foreign teams to help fight the wildfires which have now been raging in the country on the island of Rhodes for six days, the Czech Fire Service wrote on Twitter on Sunday. However, they are prepared to provide help to their Greek colleagues if needed and are sending two liaison officers to Greece on Monday to coordinate potential future assistance. They added that they are in contact with the Slovak fire brigade and the Czech ambassador in Athens and are closely monitoring the situation.
