Czech European Researchers’ Night marks 20 years with events across the country
Czech European Researchers’ Night gets underway across the country on Friday, marking 20 years of the popular science festival. Dozens of cities will host free evening events that bring science closer to the public in fun and engaging ways.
Visitors can explore tropical invertebrates, step into a microbiology lab or learn the basics of genetics. The programme also features workshops, science games, quizzes, exhibitions, film screenings, discussions and guided tours.
Schools of all levels, research institutes, museums, libraries, observatories and planetariums are taking part. The event was first held in Czechia in 2005 and has grown into one of the nation’s largest science outreach celebrations.
