Czech economy sees further acceleration of price rises in March

March saw a further acceleration of price rises in various sectors of the Czech economy, data from the Czech Statistics Agency show. Year-on-year prices in the agriculture rose to 27.2 percent as opposed to February’s 22.9 percent. In the industry sector prices rose by 24.7 percent in March, nearly 3 percent more than in the previous month. Meanwhile, in the construction sector, prices grew year-on-year by 10.4 percent an increase by 0.5 percentage point when compared to February.

Prices rose also in month-on-month terms. The agriculture sector saw price growth reach 5.4 percent between March and February. In the industry sector prices rose during the same period by 4.2 percent, in the construction sector by 1 percent and market service prices for businesses rose by 1.4 percent.
