Czech economy grew by 3.3 percent last year, statisticians predict
The Czech economy grew by 3.3 percent last year, according to a preliminary estimate released by the Czech Statistics Agency on Tuesday. The growth was not sufficent to counter the extent of the recession of 2020, which saw the country’s GDP fall by 5.6 percent.
The growth of the economy was mainly driven by domestic demand, with local consumers contributing the most. Economic growth grew by 3.6 percent during the last quarter of 2021, exceeding the predictions of analysts, according to statisticians.
