Czech chemicals manufacturer Draslovka expands into US and South Africa
Czech chemicals company Draslovka Holding will purchase the Mining Solutions division of US firm The Chemours Company in a deal worth more than CZK 11.3 billion, Czech Radio reported on Tuesday.
This is the first major acquisition made by Draslovka in the United States and follows the announcement of Draslovka’s expansion into South Africa earlier during July in which the Czech company bought a local business worth CZK 2.23 billion. The series of international acquisitions is intended to establish Draslovka as a leading multinational company in its field, the company leadership said on Tuesday.
Draslovka Holding is a company privately owned by four Czech families. Every year, the company produces around 74,000 tons of chemicals. Cyanide products make up about three-quarters of its annual revenue.
