Czech Centre in Kyiv damaged by Russian strike

A pressure wave from a Russian missile strike damaged the Czech Centre in Kyiv on Friday, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky said on the X network. No one was in the building at the time, but there were civilians in nearby apartments, he noted.

The Russian attack on Kyiv left at least one dead and nine wounded, four of whom had to be hospitalized, the city's mayor Vitali Klitschko reported.

The Czech Centre in Kyiv was established in 1996. It is one of 28 such centres the world over, within a network  designed to promote and foster a cultural exchange between states.
