Czech authorities recommend soccer fans stay away from Baku

The Czech authorities are recommending that fans of the national team not travel to Baku in Azerbaijan for a European Football Championship game in view of the Covid situation. The minister of health, Adam Vojtěch, said that people should watch the quarter-finals match against Denmark on their TVs at home.

The Czech Republic has placed Azerbaijan in its “very high risk” category as regards coronavirus risk, meaning that any fans who do travel will have to self-isolate on their return.
