Czech apartment prices rise by one-fifth y-o-y in first quarter

Apartment prices in the Czech Republic grew by 20.6 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2022, according to data from the bank Hypoteční banka cited by the Czech News Agency on Tuesday. House prices increased by 19.6 percent in that period, while sites went up by 23.7 percent.

The chairman of the board of Hypoteční banka said that an increase in interest rates implemented by the Czech National Bank had not yet slowed growth in property prices.
