CRIF: Over 60,000 started businesses in CR in 2020
Some 60,459 people started businesses in the Czech Republic last year, which is 3,343 fewer than in the previous year and also the lowest figure in the past four years.
According to the newly released analysis by Czech Credit Bureau (CRIF), 36,139 people gave up their trade licences and over 100,000 suspended their businesses, which is the highest number in a decade.
By the end of 2020, there were over a million active businessmen registered in the Czech Republic; Prague has the most, with 174,000, while the Karlovy Vary Region has the least with 28,000.
