Covid quarantine discontinued, isolation extended in Czech Republic

From Saturday people who come into contact with others who test positive for Covid-19 no longer need to enter quarantine. The Ministry of Health says such quarantining no longer makes sense in view of the current situation. By contrast, the isolation period for people with the coronavirus has been extended from five to seven days.

At the same time arts and sports events may now be attended by up to 500 people standing and 1,000 seated.

Twice-weekly compulsory workplace testing was ended on Friday.
