Covid numbers rising steeply, but no restrictions planned

Laboratories in Czechia registered 2,295 new cases of coronavirus on Friday, the most since April of this year. Covid numbers have risen steeply in the past few weeks and experts say a summer wave of the coronavirus pandemic should peak at the end of July. No restrictions have been imposed and the Health Ministry says it is not planning any in the immediate future since the number of people hospitalized with Covid is not too high and there are only about a dozen people in need of intensive care. People who test positive should self-isolate for seven days, however taking a test is not compulsory. Booster shots against Covid will be available as of next Monday.
