Covid numbers rising but hospitalizations down

The number of newly registered cases of Covid-19 infections in Czechia have risen by 15 percent in the last seven days compared to data from the previous week, according to the Ministry of Health. The number of infected people has increased despite a decrease in the number of tests conducted. However, the number of people hospitalized with Covid is reported to have decreased. Laboratories in Czechia registered over 1,900 Covid infections in the past seven days, compared to 1,700 the previous week. Over 3,300 people were tested, down eight per cent week-on-week.
