Covid numbers below 200 for first time in three weeks
The Czech Republic registered 197 new cases of Covid-19 on Thursday, which is 29 less than on the same day a week ago. It is the first time in three weeks that the daily increase has dropped below the 200 mark. The reproduction number is at 0.93, The Czech Republic now has an average 14 new cases per week per 100,000 inhabitants. The government is pushing ahead with vaccinations, but Prime Minister Andrej Babiš announced earlier this week that he had no plans to make them compulsory.
