Covid: nearly 1 million doses to date
Almost 1 million doses of Covid-19 vaccinations have been administered so far, and 288,000 people have been immunized with the necessary two doses, the Ministry of Health announced on Friday.
Health Minister Jan Blatný said earlier that the country could vaccinate around 35,000 people a day in March. That target number has been exceeded four times so far this month, including a record 47,000 on Wednesday.
To date, some 1.5 million EU-certified doses – from Pfizer/BioNTech, AstraZeneca and Moderna – have been delivered here. By end-June, there will be enough to fully vaccinate 75 percent of the adult population of 8 million, Blatný said.
