COVID: Czech seven-day incidence drops below 1,000

Czech laboratories registered 16,179 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, around 5000 fewer than on the same day last week.

The seven-day incidence rate dipped below 1,000 for the first time since November 21, to 979 new infections per 100,000 population.

However, six of the country’s 13 regions have an incidence rate of over 1,000. The lowest rate is in the Karlovy Vary region, with 447 newly infected people per 100,000 inhabitants.
