Covid-19 risk score drops to 66, equivalent to level-four emergency

The Czech Republic registered 5,169 new coronavirus cases on Monday, which was slightly less than during the weekend but 920 more than on the same day of the previous week, according to Ministry of Health data.

The counter-epidemic score dropped to 66, which is equivalent to the fourth of five levels of risk alertness and the reproduction number is currently at 1.16 Five regions are in the fifth, highest level, while Prague and Karlovy Vary region remain in level three.

The number of people currently fighting the disease is 64, 710 and the number of hospitalised is . 4,547. 134 people died on Monday, bringing the coronavirus-related death toll in the Czech Republic to 9,743.
