Covid-19: reproduction number remains above 1
Some 132 new cases of Covid-19 were registered in the Czech Republic on Saturday, roughly the same number as on the same day a week ago, according to Health Ministry data. The reproduction number – the average number of people infected by one person with the virus – remains at 1.04.
Fifty-seven people are currently hospitalised with Covid-19, with 11 of them in serious condition. Over 5.6 million people, more than 50 percent of the total population, have been fully vaccinated against Covid in the Czech Republic.
