Covid-19 epidemic gradually slowing

The Czech Republic registered 10.854 new cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday, which is about a third less than on the same day a week ago, which brought a record number of 17,700 new cases.

The number of positive cases in the overall number of tests done also dropped from 45.6 to 34.6, according to data released by the Ministry of Health.

The reproduction number has dropped to 0.82, as has the number of cases per 100,000 inhabitants, the number of infected seniors and the number of hospitalized.

The country has thus moved from the highest fifth to the fourth level on the Covid risk index.
