Covid-19: 4,199 new cases recorded Saturday, fewest in past week

There were 4,199 confirmed new Covid-19 on Saturday, the lowest number in the past seven days and 3,500 less than on the previous Saturday.

According to the Ministry of Health, there are currently 129,788 people infected, most of whom mild symptoms. To date, 6,058 patients have died since March, the vast majority during the autumn second wave.

The downward trend in new cases has continued since strict measures were reintroduced with the reproduction rate now between 0.7 and 0.8.
