Coronavirus tests to be covered by health insurance in October
Antigen and PCR tests for coronavirus will continue to be covered by health insurance throughout October and possibly for longer, Health Minister Adam Vojtěch told Czech Radio on Sunday.
He said that in view of the possibility of a fourth wave of the pandemic hitting the country in the autumn it was important to monitor the spread of the infection as closely as possible.
People will be entitled to four antigen and two PCR tests per month for free. The cost to health insurance companies has been estimated at about two billion crowns a month.
