Construction output grows 3.6 percent y-to-y
The growth of Czech construction output further decelerated in September when it grew by 3.6 percent year-on-year. In August, construction output grew by 9.2 percent. Economic analyst David Marek from Patria Finance says the slower construction output growth can be related to the decrease in the volume of construction work on repairs and maintenance of buildings, delayed financing of some construction projects and a revival of construction sector in the second half of 2000 that established a higher base for comparison. At the same time, real wages grew by 3 percent and labour productivity by 3.4 percent.
