Compulsory vaccination in companies to be covered by health insurance

The compulsory twice-weekly testing of employees in firms and institutions will be covered by health insurance, Prime Minister Petr Fiala told CNN Prima News on Sunday. The testing, which is to help curb the spread of Omicron, is to begin in mid-January to give companies time to organize the testing.

Although the government is stressing the importance of vaccination it is against compulsory vaccination for people over 60 and has said it will scrap the decree imposed by the former government. Compulsory vaccination for people in high-risk professions is likely to remain.
