Colours of Ostrava 2023 dubbed most difficult ever by organiser

The 20th edition of the four-day Colours of Ostrava music festival ended on Saturday night with a concert by the American rapper Macklemore. The festival was marred this year by two of the big headliners cancelling their performances at the last minute: first, British singer Ellie Goulding cancelled her performance on Thursday for health reasons, and then Nigerian artist Burna Boy cancelled his Friday show due to a plane engine malfunction which meant he wasn't able to fly to Ostrava from Paris. Festival director Zlata Holušová told the Czech News Agency that this was the festival's most difficult year in its entire history, but added that despite this, the final day of the festival was a success.
