Colonel Jiří Roček expected to become new head of Czech Military Police
Colonel Jiří Roček is set to become the new head of Czechia’s Military Police, the Czech News Agency reported on Tuesday, adding that the subject was discussed by the Committee on Defence of the Chamber of Deputies. The 53-year-old Roček has so far served as the deputy chief of the service and was, among other things, the head of the military police’s security service in the past.
He will replace Colonel Otakar Foltýn, who resigned as head of the branch earlier this month. According to Czech Television, Colonel Foltýn supports the proposed replacement.
