Coffee prices in Czech establishments continue to rise
The average price of a cup of coffee in Czech food and drink establishments has risen by 4% year-on-year to CZK 57.80. Compared to 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic, prices are up by 63.3%, according to data from the Dotykačka point-of-sale system.
Over the past six years, coffee prices have climbed almost continuously—most sharply between 2020 and 2021 during the pandemic, and again from 2023 to 2024 due to high inflation.
Prices vary more by type of establishment than by coffee style. On average, a cup costs CZK 65 in cafés, CZK 53 in restaurants and bars, and CZK 42 in pubs. Regionally, Prague remains the most expensive, with coffee averaging CZK 65, while most other regions stay around CZK 55.
