Coal mining at Bílina mine will end by 2033
The mining of brown coal at the Bílina mine in North Bohemia will end no later than 2033. This was confirmed by the Czech Mining Authority in its decision, which it published on the official notice board. In mid-May, the Ministry of the Environment and the semi-state group ČEZ, which owns Severočeské doly, agreed on ending mining in 2033. The original deadline was 2035.
