Clean-up operation after night storms

Fire crews were called out to hundreds of emergencies overnight in connection with the storms that swept the Czech Republic, particularly the southern parts of the country. They mostly dealt with fallen trees and flooded homes. Among those hit were the villages devastated by a tornado a month ago, where many houses still have makeshift roofs. The storm warning which took effect on Sunday afternoon remains in force until Tuesday noon. Meteorologists warn of high winds and hailstones.
