Charges filed against senior for threats to president and officials

The public prosecutor has filed charges against a senior citizen from the Prachatice region who, according to investigators, sent several threats to President Petr Pavel, Defense Minister Jana Černochová, Senator Miroslava Němcová, and also to a Member of the European Parliament. The information was confirmed today to ČTK by Jan Lelek, head of the District Public Prosecutor's Office for Prague 1. The accused faces up to three years in prison for making threats intended to influence a public official. The case will be handled by the District Court for Prague 1.
