Chamber will decide on amendment to Education Act in one week at earliest

The Chamber of Deputies has once again failed to approve an amendment to the Education Amendment, which the coalition wants to use to transfer funding for non-teaching staff from the state to municipalities and regions or to introduce the merging of small schools. The fifth opportunity to complete the final round of debate on the bill, which began on March 7, will occur in a week. The extraordinary session, during which deputies were only able to approve welfare reform on Wednesday, is not scheduled to resume until April 2.
