Černochová: CR plans to double amount of arms already sent to Ukraine

The minister of defence, Jana Černochová, says the Czech Republic has to date supplied arms worth CZK 725 million to Ukraine and plans to send the same amount again to the country, which has been under attack by Russia since February 24.

Ms. Černochová said on Czech Television on Sunday that she would not reveal the exact nature of the military materials but that it would respond to a list of requests sent by the Ukrainian government.

The country’s defence chief also said that her ministry was considering setting up a tent city for refugees; it would accommodate around 400 people and would be run by the army.
