Car production in Czechia increased by 3.9% in 2024, reaching record 1.4 million vehicles

The production of cars in Czechia increased by 3.9% to a record 1.4 million vehicles in 2024, the Czech Automotive Industry Association announced on Tuesday in a press release. However, the production of electric cars fell by 16% to 151,162 electric cars and plug-in hybrids. More than 93% of the cars produced were exported by manufacturers, meaning that vehicle exports recorded a 4.5% increase.

The largest domestic car manufacturer, Škoda Auto, increased production by 3.7% to 896,933 vehicles last year. Production at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech fell by 2.8% to 330,890 vehicles, while Kolín-based Toyota increased production by 17% to 225,058 vehicles.
