Canoeist Lukáš Rohan wins silver at Tokyo Olympics

Canoeist Lukáš Rohan has become the first Czech to win a medal at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics after coming in second in the water slalom category. Rohan completed the slalom in 101.96 seconds. Slovenia’s Benjamin Savsek came in first with a time 2 seconds faster than Rohan. Germany’s Sideris Tasiadis came in third to take the bronze with a time of 103.7 seconds.

Born in Mělník in 1995, Lukáš Rohan has been competing in water slalom for the past 10 years. He won two silver medals at the European Championships before the Tokyo Olympics.
