Campaign calls for regulation of use of smartphones in Czech schools

A group of around 30 organisations and experts in the field have called on the government to introduce regulations governing smartphones in Czech schools. The founder of the association Digibalanc, Michaela Mlíčková Jelínková, said on Thursday that restrictions on phone use should be accompanied by a state-sponsored awareness campaign for parents and pupils.

The petition’s signatories said that Czechia was the only state in the EU not to have approved or drafted national or regional rules in this area.
