Broken Voices and Father get most nominations in Film Critics’ Awards

The films Broken Voices and Father have received the most nominations, six each, at this year’s Czech Film Critics’ Awards.

Broken Voices by director Ondřej Provazník, is inspired by a real-life scandal involving a Prague girls’ choir, while Father, directed by Tereza Nvotová, tells the story of a man whose life unravels after a tragic mistake.

Close behind is Zuzana Kirchnerová’s poetic road movie Karavan, which picked up four nominations. The winners of the Czech Film Critics’ Awards will be announced on February 7.
