Brno’s new T Arena nearing completion

The new T Arena in Brno, a multifunctional sports and cultural centre, is nearing completion. A large multimedia cube for video projections has been installed in the centre of the complex, while technical equipment and seats are being fitted ahead of the planned handover on October 25.

Construction costs are estimated at 5.5 billion crowns. The arena will have 12,300 seats for sporting events and can accommodate up to 15,000 spectators for concerts.

"The programe calendar for next year is already virtually full. It includes not only sporting events, including ice hockey, but also concerts,” arena spokeswoman Edita Smělíková told Novinky.

The public will have a chance to look inside the new arena this weekend.
