British mutation of Covid confirmed in Czech Republic
The appearance of a variant of Covid-19 known as the “British” mutation has been confirmed in the Czech Republic, the National Institute of Public Health said.
Its laboratory examined samples 12 samples from the Prague, Central Bohemia and Hradec Kralove regions and the British mutation was detected in ten of them.
Meanwhile, the Brno Teaching Hospital announced on Tuesday that it had detected 84 cases of the British variant of Covid-19 since Christmas.
