Bohemia Sekt sparkling wine wins top prize at Terravino competition in Israel

The Louis Girardot Brut 2019 sparkling wine from Bohemia Sekt won top prize at the Terravino Mediterranean International Wine And Spirits Challenge in Israel, the Czech Wine Fund, which financially supports winemakers' participation in competitions abroad said in a press release. In addition to this victory, winemakers from the Czech Republic won another 32 medals and the title for the best young wine from this year's harvest. Czech winemakers were also successful at the competition in San Francisco in the United States, where they won 98 medals, including four gold medals. In the 17th edition of the Terravino competition, held in Tel-Aviv, Israel, the judges evaluated over 600 wines from 12 countries, including 84 Moravian and Czech wines.
