Blatný: Strict Covid measures no longer working
The Czech minister of health, Jan Blatný, says that strict government measures aimed at curbing the spread of Covid-19 have ceased to be effective. He told journalists on Thursday that the public’s failure to adhere to the restrictions was the reason they constantly needed to be extended.
Mr. Blatný also said that infection numbers, which are again creeping up after easing, were proof that the British mutation of the coronavirus was now spreading in the Czech Republic.
