Black puma sighting reported again in South Bohemia

A large wild cat believed to be a black puma was spotted near the village of Kvasejovice in South Bohemia on Monday, the second such sighting in the region within a week.

Police have alerted local authorities, veterinarians and gamekeepers, but say there are no reports of the animal escaping from a zoo or private owner. If it is the same animal seen last week, it has travelled about 30 kilometres.

Authorities urge anyone who spots the animal to call the emergency number 158 and not to approach or attempt to capture it.
