Babiš: Glasgow climate summit failed to deliver anything new

Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš says that the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow did not deliver anything new. Prior to taking off for Prague, he told journalists that the positions outlined remained the same and that not all countries were making the same efforts as Europe to combat environmental threats.

Mr. Babiš said that he had told other world leaders at the conference that a rational approach needed to be taken. We cannot be the only ones who undertake measures that have a negative impact on energy prices and hit industry and employment, he said.

World leaders agreed to end and reverse deforestation by the year 2030 in Glasgow.
