Average wage up to CZK 40,135, but down in real terms

The average monthly wage in the Czech Republic rose 4 percent year-on-year to CZK 40,135 in the final quarter of last year, according to official data released on Monday. However, real wages, adjusted for inflation, declined by two percent.

Over the whole of 2021 the average wage rose by 6 percent to CZK 37,839. In real terms growth was 2.2 percent.
