Average mortgage rate rises for ninth month in succession

The average mortgage rate in the Czech Republic increased to 2.70 percent in November from 2.54 percent the previous month, financial services company Fincentrum said on Tuesday.

It was the ninth month in a row that mortgage rates went up in the country.

Demand for mortgages is not easing, with banks agreeing housing loans of CZK 37.2 billion last month, a rise of CZK 5.1 billion on October.
