Average monthly wage in Czechia now at CZK 46,165

The average gross monthly salary in Czechia increased by 7.1% year-on-year to CZK 46,165 last year, adding an average of CZK 3,044 to paychecks. In real terms, after adjusting for inflation, wages grew by 4.6%, marking the first increase after two years of decline. Real wages also rose in the fourth quarter, according to data published by the Czech Statistics Office on Thursday.

However, two-thirds of employees earn less than the average wage. The median wage, which divides earners into two equal halves, increased by 4.2% year-on-year to CZK 41,739 in the fourth quarter. It stood at CZK 45,004 for men and CZK 38,643 for women.
