Avalanche alert issued for Krkonoše Mountains after heavy snowfall

Authorities in the Krkonoše Mountains in the north of the country issued a second-degree avalanche alert on Saturday, following significant snowfall and strong winds. In the Jeseníky Mountains, the avalanche risk was raised to level two on Friday due to similar weather conditions. Heavy snowfall warnings remain in effect for the Krkonoše and other northern mountain areas until Sunday.
