Austerlitz Symphony performed in Brno cathedral

The Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Brno on Saturday hosted a performance of Symphony Austerlitz 1805, composed by Zdeněk Kluka of the rock group Progres 2. The piece, recalling the Battle of Austerlitz in which Napoleon defeated the Russo-Austrian army 220 years ago this December, drew a big audience. The concert was part of the “In Nomine” project and featured the 50-member Czech Virtuosi symphony orchestra. The highlight of the evening was the rendition of Kluka’s Austerlitz 1805 Symphony.
