Astronomical spring to start on Saturday

There may not be too many signs of it, but spring is definitely coming.

At least what is called astronomical spring, which starts on the spring equinox here in the Northern Hemisphere. Czech astronomers have announced that this year the spring equinox will occur in this country on Saturday, March 20th at 07:48 hours CET. (The equinox can occur as early as March 19th and as late as the 22nd.) On Saturday the Sun will cross the Equator and enter the astrological sign of Aries. Night and day will be the same length everywhere around the globe. After the spring equinox, the Sun will continue to follow a higher and higher path through the sky, with the days growing longer and longer here in the Northern Hemisphere, until it reaches its highest point in the sky on the summer solstice on June 21. Here in the Czech Republic the moment will occur at 01:56 CET.
