Arts minister: Covid status app could help audiences return to events

The Czech minister of culture, Lubomír Zaorálek, says a mobile app showing that the bearer has been vaccinated against Covid-19, was infected with the virus or had a fresh negative test could ease the return of live events. Mr. Zaorálek made the statement after a meeting with the minister of health, Petr Arenberger.

The arts chief said more people needed to be able to attend concerts or other performances as it was not economically feasible for organisers to put on loss-making events.

Mr. Zaorálek said the first events held under the app proposal could take place next month.
