An app for e-documents to be launched in mid-January

A new mobile application (eDoklady) in which people can have their ID cards and, in due time, other documents stored digitally, will be launched in mid-January, the news site Novinky wrote on Friday. However it warned users that the authorities will start accepting digital ID cards with a certain time delay, for example, police officers from the middle of 2024. The plastic cards will remain as an alternative option even after the digital app is accepted across the board.
