Anti-government protest leader detained over spreading false information

Ladislav Vrabel, a man behind the group “Czechia first” that has organised a series of anti-government protests in Prague, has been detained by police in Prague on charges of spreading false information online, the news website iDnes reported.

The charge relates to a video posted by Mr Vrabel in November last year, in which he stated that the Czech government wanted to attack Russia with nuclear weapons.

Police did not reveal Mr Vrabel’s name, but stated that a man born in the same year was detained following an anti-government protest in Prague on Saturday attended by several hundred people.
