ANO and SPD to not introduce new emission allowances

The opposition movements ANO and SPD would not introduce new emission allowances for individual household heating and motor fuels if they were to enter government after the October parliamentary elections. This was stated today on Czech Television’s program Questions of Václav Moravec by senior representatives of both movements, Karel Havlíček (ANO) and Radim Fiala (SPD). According to Transport Minister Martin Kupka (Spolu), the Czech Republic is seeking partners among European Union member states to postpone the introduction of the allowances, which is scheduled for 2027.
